The Iowa CPCU Society Chapter is a community of credentialed property and casualty insurance professionals who promote excellence through ethical behavior and continuing education.
The CPCU Society is committed to providing resources, educational programs and Iowa CPCU Society Chapter leadership opportunities that attract talent and enable individuals to expand their technical insurance skills and business capabilities in order to improve the overall performance of the insurance industry while adhering to the highest ethical standards.
The Iowa CPCU Society Chapter 605 members hold the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®) designation, which is conferred by The Institutes and requires passing rigorous undergraduate- and graduate-level exams, meeting an experience requirement, and agreeing to be bound by a strict code of professional ethics.

This is the oath taken by all CPCUs: As a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter: I shall strive at all times to live by the highest standards of professional conduct; I shall strive to ascertain and understand the needs of others and place their interests above my own; I shall strive to maintain and uphold a standard of honor and integrity that will reflect credit on my profession and on the CPCU designation.

The Iowa Chapter of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) is dedicated to meeting the career development needs of a diverse membership of insurance professionals who have earned the CPCU designation.
We will:
Provide educational opportunities to our membership which will help them attain excellence in their careers while emphasizing the highest ethical standards in the industry; Encourage and assist others to obtain the CPCU designation; Enhance the visibility of the CPCU designation; and Contribute to our local community through volunteer involvement.
